Indie Hack: www.soundplate.com

Jul 03, 2021
One of the most common questions I am asked is how to get songs on playlists. There are many ways to do this between pitching, submission sites and paid marketing. For me personally, the best way has been by building relationships with curators over time. I have a step-by-step free guide on my website bryanboliver.com that walks through exactly how I have found success in pitching over the last few years.
But what if you have not been building relationships for years and are looking for a place to start? I know it can be tough to navigate through Spotify to locate curators and playlists that might accept your songs. It is important to learn how to find curators and build relationships, as it will be very beneficial in the long run.
For today’s #indiehack I wanted to tell you about a great website I found called Soundplate.com. Soundplate is a website where you can pitch your songs directly to curators for free. The only cost is that they ask you to follow the playlists you are pitching to. They have playlists in many genres and it is a great way to get your songs heard and land placements.
I have my playlist “Christian Indie Artists and Songwriters” on there (tip: if you are looking to pitch to Christian playlists search “other” in the genre category) and it’s a great platform that makes it easy to find curators who are looking to add great music to their lists!
Go check it out and let me know what you think. #indiehack
